overview: ensure appropriate skills and manning levels are available on Shift to ensure the provision of service. this job requires to work in 7x24 Shift. dc strtaegy organisations, ability to work with personnel at all levels, and vendor / contract organisations to drive sla commitments.education: bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent experience. procedures and diagrams maintained and adhered to at all times, operations processes. no service outages caused by controller error. responsibilities: reliability and availability of systems and services to meet agreed service levels. successful implementation of changes. management and ownership of 1st level incident management, escalation and restoration of service. required skills: knowledge and skills: ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues from both a management and service angle. review and approve changes to production services ensruing minimum disruption to services resposnible for assisting in defining and delivering the dc strategy and ensuring taregts are met. implmeent and maange any 3rd patry/outsuorced relatoinship, negoitate. responsible for the stfaf resoruces and data cetnre infrasrtucture duirng nihgts and at weekends. itil foundation certificate is preferred. provision of day-to-day management of Shift operations staff ensuring that the appropriate level of resources and skills are present for each Shift. cross training conducted to enable improved resource utilisation and realise economies of scale. ability to create an excellent team climate to drive performance & standards to meet and exceed the operational metrics defined. and costs, ability to coordinate and manage tasks for various projects to insure that all elements of work meet the quality standards, defined scope.scope of the services is rttg services globally. management and development of staff. reduction en el number of problems being escalated to 2nd level through improved skills and processes. ability to work in 7x24 Shift environment.Shift Manager manages the staff and resources who monitor and manage the delivery of real-time thomson reuters systems and services to meet or exceed agreed service levels on a 7x24 basis.
